What it does

LoanGuard checks an Indian instant-loan app before you borrow. Enter the app name (and its website, if you know it), and it investigates the public information: whether the app is in the RBI’s Digital Lending Apps directory, which regulated lender is behind it, what the app discloses on its website and what people report about it. Every finding links to its source, and the report says what it could not verify.

How it uses TinyFish

TinySearch finds public sources about the app: its website, company details, news and complaints.

TinyAgent navigates the RBI website to the Digital Lending Apps directory, looks for the app and extracts the regulated lender behind it. A timeout or blocked page is reported as a check that could not run, never as proof that the app is missing.

TinyFetch reads the app’s pages for grievance officer details, lending partner disclosures, a business address and interest rates.

TinyBrowser opens a cloud browser session, driven with Playwright over CDP, to capture screenshots as evidence.

TinyResearch writes a deeper report with citations, and TinyMonitor watches the RBI directory when a user asks for it.

What you get

A preliminary risk score and verdict, the RBI directory result, website transparency checks, complaint signals, screenshots and a cited research report. In a live check of KreditBee, it found 27 public sources, read 10 pages and confirmed the app in the RBI directory with Krazybee Services Limited as its regulated lending partner. The score is a signal from public evidence, not an official RBI rating.

Why it is useful

Borrowers rarely check who is really behind a loan app before handing over their ID and bank details. LoanGuard brings those checks into one place and shows the evidence for each one.
