FAQs
What is the TinyFish Ambassador Program?
A developer ambassador program and AI builder community for people who use TinyFish and help others discover it. It is one shared community with several ways in, and you are recognized and rewarded for the real impact you create.
Do I need to apply?
No. Everyone starts as a Referral Partner, automatically. TinyFish Advocate is automatic at 50 qualified signups in a quarter. Regional Ambassador is invitation only.
Who can join, and can students join too?
Anyone who uses TinyFish can join, anywhere in the world. Students join through the campus track and climb the same leaderboard, then move across into the ambassador ladder when they graduate or build a real audience, carrying their history with them. Nobody restarts from zero.
What is a qualified signup?
Someone you brought whose agent makes its first successful call to a TinyFish primitive — Search, Fetch, Web Agent or Browser — through the API, MCP, CLI or a Skill. First real use counts, not a click.
What can Ambassadors build?
Real agentic apps and Skills on the four TinyFish primitives. Search queries the live web and returns clean, structured results. Fetch pulls content from any page and turns it into structured data. Web Agent runs autonomous, multi-step tasks across real websites. Browser drives a real browser programmatically when a site needs full control.
How do bounties work?
The Bounty Board is shared with the Student Program, and new bounties drop every month. Claim one, build it, and submit it through your dashboard at tinybounties.com. Every submission that meets the criteria is approved, so more than one person can solve the same bounty. Each approved build adds to your leaderboard score and is published on TinyFish use case pages and in the open source cookbook.
What do Ambassadors earn?
Recognition and real rewards: credits on every qualified signup, gift cards for approved builds, verified badges and a public title, published build logs in your name, event funding for Advocates and above, and career proof like references and intros. An agentic app earns 50 leaderboard points and a $50 gift card, a Skill earns 20 and $20, and a prompt earns 10 and $10.
Do I have to create content?
No, not at all. Content is one option and it is entirely your choice. You can take part by building, running events, helping people in the community, or making introductions instead. Create content only if you enjoy it.
Developer ambassador vs developer advocate: what is the difference?
A developer advocate is usually a company role focused on outreach. This is a developer ambassador program you run your own way, on your own schedule, recognized and rewarded for real impact rather than employed to promote.
How do I become a Regional Ambassador?
It is invitation only. TinyFish invites standout Advocates who already act as local leaders. From there they recruit and mentor new Ambassadors, host regular events, grow a regional community, and drive qualified signups across their region.
What if I do not keep Advocate status?
You move gracefully to alumni, keep your badge, and can return any time by meeting the requirements again.
