What it does

Code Reference Finder takes a code snippet and searches for related implementations. Gemini identifies its language, libraries, APIs, and patterns. TinyFish Search finds relevant GitHub repositories and Stack Overflow discussions, then browser agents gather examples and explanations.

How to use it

  1. 01Paste the snippet you want to understand.
  2. 02Start analysis and follow the code-analysis, search, and extraction stages.
  3. 03Review the returned examples, relevance explanations, and source links.
  4. 04Check the original context and library version before adapting an example.

What you get

A stream of reference cards from multiple sources, with actual snippets and an explanation of their relationship to your input. Searches are deduplicated before extraction.

Run it locally

RequiresNode.js 22
Paste into Claude Code, Cursor or any coding agent

Set up Code Reference Finder from the TinyFish Cookbook on my machine. 1. Clone https://github.com/tinyfish-io/tinyfish-cookbook.git and work in the `code-reference-finder` folder. 2. Check I have Node.js 22 installed. 3. Run `npm install`, then `cp .env.example .env.local`. 4. In `.env.local`, set `TINYFISH_API_KEY`, `GEMINI_API_KEY`. Ask me for each key; never invent one. 5. Start it with `npm run dev`. 6. When it is running, open http://localhost:3000 and tell me it is ready.
